Rhubarb cake #1 – from a baking sheet
180 °C top/bottom heat
Baking tray
1 kg rhubarb
Clean, remove the strings, wash, pat dry, cut into 1-2 cm pieces
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp vanilla sugar
Mix with rhubarb, set aside
450 g flour
1 tbsp baking powder
Sift, mix, set aside
250 g soft butter
250 g sugar
1 pinch of salt
Stir until creamy.
4 eggs
Stir in one at a time.
Flour / baking powder
150 ml milk
Stir in, spread evenly on the baking sheet.
Rhubarb
Spread evenly over the dough.
180 °C top/bottom heat
40 minutes
Test with a skewer!
Remove from the oven, allow to cool
50 g chopped pistachios
Sprinkle on top
Powdered sugar
Dust with
Serve with cream or vanilla ice cream
